Julia Introducing Elders

Julia Pitzel (nee Cummings) describes growing up in Buffalo Narrows and speaking Dene, Cree, and English and being called half-breeds. She describes close family ties and working together. They fed people who came to visit and did not call older people by name but rather grandma and grandpa. She learned the ways of raising children early by caring for younger siblings. She used all of her languages and gives some expressions as examples of Michif as a mixed language.
